Due to the late start of semester 2 at some Australian universities we have pushed back the deadline for submission of applications for the AWES Undergraduate Prize until November 23, 2020. AWES will be jointly hosting a public lecture in Perth, WA with Engineers Australia. Dr Geoff Boughton will present work related to recent changes to internal pressure and debris impact requirements in AS/NZS1170.2. Further information can be found on our events page.

On 21 August AWES will be holding a Public Lecture at the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory in Darwin. Dr David Henderson and Dr Leighton Cochran will be speaking about cyclone damage to buildings and optimising building design with wind tunnels. Further details are available on our Events page.

Abstract submission is now open for the 9th Asia Pacific Conference on Wind Engineering. The APCWE-IX will be held at the University of Auckland in December, 2017 and Chaired by AWES National Committee Member Prof. Richard Flay.
